Trader arested on gun,ammo raps
URDANETA CITY—A businessman was charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions before the City Prosecutors Office following a raid by the police in his house early Tuesday in barangay Pedro Orata here.
Seized by lawmen from the house of the suspect, Patrocinio de Luna, 63, were a Thompson sub-machine gun, cal. 45 automatic pistol, one magazine assembly for Thompson, 15 live ammunition for Cal. 45, one Caliber 38 revolver and 10 live ammunitions for Caliber. 38.
The raiders were armed with the search warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Ulysses Raciles Butuyan of Branch 51.
The raid was carried out by joint elements of the 3rd Company of Regional Mobile Group of Police Regional Office I, and the 107th Police Mobile group led by Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr.
The prosecutor’s office recommended P140,000 bail bond for the suspect.(PNA)
