20 beauties vie for Limgas na Pangasinan crown

LINGAYEN – Twenty lovely ladies with the proverbial “beauty and brains” assets will vie for the coveted Limgas Na Pangasinan 2008 title on May 1 at the Capitol Plaza here.

Leo Urmaza, pageant committee chair, said the 20 semi-finalists were chosen during the pre-pageant night held recently at the Consuelo Hotel from an original field of thirty women who qualified from the series of screening sessions conducted at the Lingayen Gulf Resort Hotel here.

The semi-finalists were formally presented to members of the media last April 12 at the Consuelo Hotel who later picked the ‘Darling of the Press’ among the beauty contestants.

Picked for the title was 19-year old Elaine Manangan of Binalonan town who displayed to the mediamen-judges great charm and wit to win their nod.

This year’s Limgas semi-finalists are: Ma. Angela Veronica S. Carretero (Malasiqui), Pamela Amor D. Delos Reyes (Sta. Barbara), Krizette Crishna A. Unabia (Lingayen), Rosalyn E. Suratos (Mangaldan), Ludovina O. De Leon (Bugallon), Hannielyn Almaden (Anda), Thushara O. Navimana (Sta. Barbara), Lyka Mae V. Banaag (Aguilar), Jarydel V. Prado (Lingayen), Amor S. Romero (Manaoag), Joy Anne N. Cornejo (Lingayen), Ma. Victoria C. Cacatian (Lingayen), Marilee S. Dela Cruz (San Carlos City), Elaine A. Manangan (Binalonan) Lindsay Pauline S. Poulakos (Bugallon), Vanessa Lorraine G. Velasco (Calasiao), Eimee Flor F. Romero ( Binmaley), Lovely Angelica Pre (Lingayen), Alannah Guselle Cuison (Dagupan City) and Jea-Ann Finuliar (Urdaneta City).

The Limgas pageant search, the longest running beauty quest in Pangasinan and even in the region, “spanning three decades of glitz, glamour and prestige “promises to be an enriching experience to all the beauteous and charming ladies wishing to capture the crown

The talent night competition for the girls will be conducted on April 28, 7 p.m. at the Capitol Plaza.
