VISITORS from outside the city coming to join the 2008 Dagupan Bangus Festival from April 16 to May 4 will have a chance to win fabulous prizes if they are chosen as lucky visitors.

Councilor Alfredo Quinto, events chair for the lucky visitors contest, said the search is a regular feature of the yearly Bangus Festival, a summer spectacle being mobbed by thousands of residents and visitors.

The search for lucky visitors is divided into several categories, which include the search for the most senior visitor, the biggest family delegation, youngest showbiz personality gracing the occasion and couple coming from the farthest places and longest staying guest.

Quinto said the activity is being supported by the Hotel and Restaurant Association of Dagupan which he heads.
Hotels and inns will be asked to submit a list of their guest coming for the Bangus Festival who may be chosen as lucky visitors, Quinto said.

The search starts as soon as the Bangus Festival opens on April 16.

The lucky visitors will receive plaques and symbolic keys as well as certificates, t-shirts and best products being sold during the Bangus Festival.

The lucky one will also receive free overnight accommodation from the hotels they are staying in.
