THE fate of a former councilor of San Fabian who was kidnapped by armed men in barangay Bolasi, San Fabian on Holy Tuesday is still unknown.

There was no word or messages yet from the kidnappers of Roland Villegas if he is still alive.

Ransom is possibly not a motive because it appears his family has not received any demand from the kidnappers till today.

Villegas is a former president of the Liga ng Barangay in San Fabian town. He ran for mayor in last year’s polls but lost.

He is presently barangay chairman of his native Anonang after his reelection in July 29 barangay polls.

Villegas was driving his white Nissan Terrano which was stopped by armed men while it was enroute to the beach.

This fueled speculations his kidnapping may have something to do with an illegal activity he was suspected to be involved.

Task Force Villegas has been formed, composed of the Police Provincial Office, National Bureau of Investigation, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the San Fabian police to investigate and find Villegas and his kidnappers.
