TWICE IN A ROW : CdD tops anew in Nursing exams
COLEGIO de Dagupan (CdD) registered for the second time the highest passing percentage all over Pangasinan in the recently released Nursing Licensure Examination results last December 2007.
With a 56% passing percentage of its remaining first-batch nursing graduates, CdD maintained its prestige and surpassed the performance of many universities and colleges in the province again.
The national passing percentage is only 43%.
CdD Pres. Dr. Voltaire P. Arzadon attributed this second highest achievement in the nursing licensure exam performance to the school’s constant encouragement and monitoring of its nursing students to exert more study time and effort starting on
enrolment time up to the time they take the licensure exam.
CdD has been producing graduates that excelled and performed very well in board examinations for ECE, Licensure Exams for Teachers, CPA and now Nursing.
Meanwhile, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) recently awarded Colegio de Dagupam the Category A (t) status after it was assessed last year for the Institutional Quality Assurance through Monitoring and Evaluation (IQUAME) program.
In the CHED Memorandum Order No. 58, series of 2007, dated Nov. 14, 2007, the college received its new status under Category A (t) which means that it belongs to the ranks of top institutions that offer quality teaching services.
Also the college will enjoy privileges by CHED such as deregulated status, exemption from further accreditation, and even subsidy from the national government for its course offering.
