BARANGAY officials to include sangguniang kabataan chairmen from Dagupan City will undergo two days of orientation and training on enhancing efficiency at the Pinkie’s restaurant on March 10-13, according to city local government officer Expedita Callanta in a radio interview.

All the barangay officials whether old or new including treasurers and secretaries were expected to attend for them to enhance their proficiency in the administrative and legislative aspects of their work, she said.

The seminar, which will cover seven modules or topics to include disaster preparedness, will be held in two batches.

Meanwhile, the Liga ng mga Barangay headed by Lucao barangay chairman Marcelino Fernandez, lately came out with the maiden issue of their newsletter “Say Ulopan,” Callanta told the weekly Pantongtongan Tayo radio program of the Philippine Information Agency over Radyo ng Bayan DZMQ last Tuesday.

The Liga, she confirmed, is more active now than during the time of Fernandez’s predecessor when the league was rocked by controversies and divisions. (DOS/PIA)
