PNP Task Force sifts thru clues on identity of broadcaster’s attackers

WOUNDED local broadcaster Allan Sison’s encounter with a young burglar whom he shot and killed some months back remains the strongest possible lead to his near fatal gunslay last November 16.
The Philippine National Police Task Force formed by Police Regional Director Leopoldo N. Bataoil hour after the shooting incident on Jose P. de Venecia Sr. highway in Dagupan City is pursuing the angle after Sison expressed belief that some parties may have been out to exact revenge against him.
Sison, 40, was shot by two unidentified men riding in a motorcycle at about 11:30 p.m. while talking to one Lily Duque, a businesswoman, near his home on the De Venecia highway.
Sison, a disc jockey of Love Radio on FM band where he hosts the program “Dr. Heart”, was rushed to the adjacent Dagupan City Trauma Hospital for treatment of three gunshot wounds, two in the right side of his chest and one in the right armpit.
He was reported to be already in a stable condition after doctors operated on him.
Bataoil directed Supt. Dionicio Borromeo, Chief of Police in Dagupan City, on Sunday to secure the victim and leave no stone unturned in the investigation of the incident to determine the persons responsible.
Sison had just come from his radio program which deals on giving advices to couples having problems in their romantic relationship.
The suspects used a Caliber .45 pistol as evidenced by two empty shells found in the area.
