1 killed, another wounded in Villasis gun attack

VILLASIS – A woman was killed and her live-in partner was wounded in a gun attack at their house Tuesday night in sitio Piaz, Villasis.

Mila Ordono, 48, died on the spot. Wounded was her live-in partner, identified as Elmer Orpiano, 30, farmer, who was wounded in the right arm and his forehead grazed by a bullet.

The suspects were shot with hand guns and long firearms. Land dispute was tagged as motive of the gun attack.

Investigation conducted by members of the Villasis Police Station disclosed that the victims were living as husband and wife on a nipa shanty situated in an open agricultural field owned by one Anong Ragasa.

The victims were already in bed when the suspects opened fire from outside the hut.

Not contented, they barged inside and opened fire on the victims some more.

Orpiano managed to save himself by playing dead.

Recovered from the crime scene were eleven empty shells of Cal. 45 pistols and four empty shells of Cal. 5.56mm armalite rifle.

Ordono’s body was brough to the Funeraria Ideal in Carmen, Rosales Pangasinan while Orpiano is now recuperating at the Villasis Polymedic Hospital.
