New eco-tourism investment site available in Dagupan soon
A new investment site will soon be made available to investors with the completion soon of the more than four-kilometer Dawel-Pantal-Lucao road in Dagupan City.
Acting Mayor Belen Fernandez, in a talk during the launching of “Magandang Umaga Ka-Pamilya” program over ABS-CBN Channel 32 in Dagupan, said the areas along side the new road is ideal location for eco-tourism projects.
She said the new road was put up from the Priority Development Assistance Fund of Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. The project includes a bridge across the Pantal river, measuring some 600 meters financed from a soft loans obtained by the country from the Japanese government.
City Engineer Virginia Rosario said the bridge will be ready by June next year while the concreting of the roads where the bridge will empty into would be finished by December this year.
Once the new road is completed, a new investment zone will soon be established, said Acting Mayor Fernandez who just came from China to observe the model urban planning of Shanghai and other prosperous China cities.
“We will soon be ready to accommodate investors, including those from abroad, Fernandez said, adding that both sides of the new roads are ideal locations for resorts and vacation houses.
She added that with the new road, Dagupan will be developed not only as a trade center but also as big eco-tourism site north of Manila.
