MANAOAG – A five-year old girl was killed when she was accidentally shot by her nine-year old brother while the latter was toying with the hand gun of their father in barangay Cabanbanan here Friday afternoon.

The fatality was identified as Rhea Mae Biado who was rushed to the Manaoag Community Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

The suspect was Rowel Biado, a Grade III pupil who confessed he accidentally shot her younger sister while playing with the home-made firearm of their father Renato, 49, farmer, placed under a pillow on top of their bed.

Rowel, being minor, is set to be endorsed to the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office while his father, Renato, is now under investigation for keeping a home-made firearm, called “paltik”.

Investigators found four live ammunitions and one empty shell for Cal. 38 revolver at the crime scene. (PNA)
