AGUILAR – Four suspected vigilantes, riding in tandem on two motorcycles, shot and killed a suspected notorious rustler in his home in barangay Calsib here Friday morning.

The fatality was identified as Primitive Riparip, alias Tebong, 48 who sustained several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body and died on the spot.

The suspects parked their motorcycles along a barangay road, walked to the house of the victim and opened fire when they saw him.

Investigators who responded to the crime scene discovered near the body a note that stated: “Magnanakaw ako ng baka, huwag tularan (I am a cattle rustler, don’t follow my example)”.

After seeing the victim already dead, the suspects fled. Policemen gave chase but returned empty handed.

The gunmen used a Cal. 45 pistol as evidenced by three empty shells found in the area.
