THE Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in Dagupan City is inviting applicants to avail of the Transfer of Technology Program being provided by the country’s Technical Education and Skills Development Authority and Japan International Training Cooperation Organization (TESDA-JITCO).
PESO manager Melita Malong explained that the TESDA-JITCO skills and technology transfer program is a private agreement between Japanese and Philippine companies that seeks to promote competitiveness of Filipino workers through on-the-job training in advanced production systems in various trades and enterprises all over Japan.
“It aims to intensify the training of industry workers through acquisition of new skills and technologies from Japan being developed country,” Malogn stressed.
The program is open to male and female applicants who are 20-36 years old, at least high school graduate, physically and mentally fit and presently employed using the skills being offered.
According to her, qualified applicants will be deployed in JITCO member-companies in Japan to train in cross-culture skills, knowledge and technology.
She noted that applicants selected for training deployment will not be charged the burdens of high placement fees.
Training runs from one year to a maximum of three (3) years.
The trainee will receive a monthly allowance of Y70,000, free accommodation and health insurance benefits during his first year of training plus a chance to become an intern trainee once he passed the required government examination where he will now receive the same salary being accorded foreign in Japan.
Interested applicants in the city are requested to visit the PESO office at the second floor of the City Hall Building or call (075) 522-8257 or (075) 515-4430 and look for Ms. Malong. (CIO/Leziel T. Cayabyab)
