THE local elections held yesterday has shown the following virtual mayoralty race winners in the various cities and municipalities of Pangasinan, with nearly half of the votes already counted at this time:

First District
Agno: Arthur S. Cabantac (LDP) over incumbent Leticia N. Rosete (Lakas-CMD); Alaminos City: Incumbent Mayor Hernani Braganza (Lakas-CMD) over Cesar C. Manzano (Kampi); Anda: incumbent Mayor Nestor B. Pulido (Nationalist People’s Coalition) over Diony C. Carolino (Ang Kapatiran Party) ;Bolinao: Alfonso F. Celeste (Kampi) over Paul G. Tucay (Laban-LDP); Sual : incumbent Mayor John Rodney Arcinue (Lakas-CMD) over Luis E. Agbayani (LDP);

Second District Binmaley : Incumbent Mayor Simplicio L. Rosario (Lakas) over former Mayor Rolando D. Domalanta (NPC) ; Bugallon : Rodrigo M. Orduna (Kampi) over Rhodessa C. Mendoza (Lakas-CMD) ; Lingayen : Ernesto C. Castaneda, Jr (Kampi) unopposed;

Third DistrictCalasiao : Incumbent Mayor Roy T. Macanlalay (Lakas-Biskeg) over former Mayor Felipe P. de Vera, Jr. (UNO-PDP-Laban); Malasiqui : Armando C. Domantay (PDSP) over Alfe C. Soriano (Lakas-CMD & Biskeg); Mapandan: Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim (Lakas-CMD), unopposed; Sta. Barbara : Ret. Gen Reynaldo Velasco over incumbent Mayor Carlito Zaplan (Lakas-CMD) and San Carlos City : Julier C. Resuello (Lakas-CMD) over former Mayor Douglas D. Soriano ( PDSP);

Dagupan City: resigned Immigration Commissioner Alipio F. Fernandez, Jr. (Lakas-CMD) over Marc Brian C. Lim (UNO-PDP); Manaoag : Incumbent Mayor Napoleon Sales (Lakas-CMD/Biskeg) over Eleuterio S. Sison (PMP); Mangaldan: Incumbent Mayor Herminio A. Romero (Lakas-CMD) over former Mayor Tito B. Sarzaba (PDP-Laban); San Fabian : Incumbent Mayor Mojamito Libunao, Jr (Lakas-CMD/Biskeg) over Roland Z. Villegas (Kampi); San Jacinto : Incumbent Mayor Rolando E. Columbres (Lakas-CMD/Biskeg) over former Mayor Hilario de Guzman, Jr. (PMD-LDP);

Fifth District:Alcala : Incumbent Mayor Manuel T. Collado (NPC/Biskeg) over Simplicio F. Duque (Independent) ; Bautista: Amadeo Espino III (NPC) , unopposed; Binalonan: Incumbent Mayor Ramon N. Guico, Jr. (Lakas-CMD), unopposed; Pozorrubio: Emma T. Chan, (Lakas-CMD) over Ernesto T. Go (UNO-PDPLaban/ Bskeg) and Sison : Carmen S. Cojuangco (NPC), unopposed; Sto. Tomas: Incumbent Mayor Vivien O. Villar (NPC/Biskeg Pangasinan), unopposed; Urdaneta City: Incumbent Mayor Amadeo R. Perez, Jr., (NPC), over Jimmy B. Queliza (Independent) and Villasis: Incumbent Mayor Nonato S. Abrenica (NPC/Biskeg) over Isagani M. Rabe.
