HOUSE Speaker Jose de Venecia’s re-election as congressman for Pangasinan’s fourth district got another big boost with the support thrown at his candidacy by the influential Iglesia Ni Cristo.

“This is very good news,” de Venecia said, upon being informed that he got the nod of the INC.

He said this will greatly help him in his candidacy as he thanked the INC leadership and its flock for their trust and confidence in him.

The INC vote is considered a big deciding factor to spell the victory of any candidate, especially in heavily populated areas like Pangasinan’s fourth district where a big number of voters belong to this religious group.

He said the INC endorsement is an indication that the flock of Ka Erano Manalo recognizes his efforts in bringing progress to his district, particularly in his efforts to undertake infrastructure, livelihood, health, irrigation programs and projects.

Aside from de Venecia, INC also backed up the candidacies of Alipio Fernandez Jr. and Belen Fernandez for mayor and vice mayor respectively of Dagupan City, as well as nine of the candidates for city councilors under their powerhouse United Dagupan team.
