LINGAYEN – The provincial government seeks to strengthen further its health care delivery program with the implementation of FOURmula 1 program.

Gov. Victor Agbayani thus urged the Sangguniang Panlalawigan to pass a resolution authorizing him to enter into a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Health (DOH) to pave the way for the implementation of program.

The five-year FOURmula health program will be funded by the European Commission with counterpart funds from the DOH and the province.

Agbayani said he believes the program would improve efficiency and effectiveness of health care delivery system down to the grassroots level.

It will be implemented through action on four components: health care financing, health regulations, health services, delivery, and good governance for health.

The FOURmula 1 program activities will ensure and strengthen collaborative linkages between the local governments units, DOH, non-government organizations, people organization and private sectors and other national agencies trough the generation, mobilization and allocation of resources.
