12 Milpitas-bound studes chosen
AFTER a series of evaluation and tests, the 12 high school students who will officially participate in the U.S. study exchange program tentatively set on May 15 to 27 have been chosen.
The Dagupan student delegation will include: Justine Marie Arenas, Dominican School; Ma. Christina Mae Galang, Mother Goose Special Science High School (MGSSHS); Lieddy Evina Antonio, Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS); Kristina Leana Valencia, DCNHS; Rose Anne Cantago, DCNHS; Karen Joy Manaois, La Salette;
Manilyn Aquino, La Salette; Ranjyliana Manaois, University of Pangasinan; Gemnaika Palinar, Pangasinan Universal Institute; Mara Janielle Ramos, St. John’s Cathedral School; Catherine Ang, St. Albert the Great School; and Miguel Juan Valenzuela, (MGSSHS).
The students exchange program is part of the memorandum of understanding between sister cities Milpitas and Dagupan signed by City Mayor Benjamin S. Lim and Milpitas
Mayor Jose Esteves on July 21 last year.
Lim personally interviewed each of the 21 candidate-students.
Joining the student scholars in their trip to Milpitas will be Councilors Librada Fe Reyna, Charise Perez, and Danilo Torio and City Schools Division Superintendent Aurora Domingo and Paul Mejia of PUI. (Sunshine D. Robles)
