P50-T reward for info on dad’s slay from Chavit

VIGAN CITY – Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis Chavit Singson has set a P50,000 reward to anyone who can furnish valuable information that can lead to the solution of the gruesome murder last week of a councilor from Bantay town.

At the sametime, Singson warned he will seek the relief of all the operatives of the entire Bantay town police force if they will not solve immediately the slaying of Councilor Paul Anthony Benito Lucero, 41.

Lucero, on his third term as councilor of Bantay, was driving his car after dropping off his wife Emma in front of the Bantay West Elementary School where she is teaching.

Singson said he will also ask Police Provincial Director George Tolentino Regis to create a special police task force that will investigate the killing of the town councilor.

Before this, Regis relieved the Bantay town police chief, Senior Inspector Maximo Taclas, to ensure fair and speedy investigation of the case.

Supt. Ricardo Dayag replaced Taclas.
