Did schools supt know about P300 per mentor kitty?
WAS Pangasinan II Schools Superintendent Armando Aquino simply evading command responsibility when he said he did not know anything about the solicitation done by school principals to defray expenses for the recent division meet?
Aquino even said that he would impose disciplinary action against any school head found violating the rules. Teachers from the Pangasinan II division were reportedly asked to fork over P300 each as no fund was set aside for the annual sports meet.
It was gathered however that a resolution was passed by school principals in a meeting sometime in December, a copy of which might have reached Aquino’s desk.
The principal of Mangaldan National High School, who is the cluster head oin the fourth district high schools, confirmed the existence of the resolution which called for the solicitation of P300 from each high school teacher. She gave a copy of the resolution in a letter to a radio station to confirm this.
Aquino however insisted he did not authorize such solicitation.
It was not immediately known if high school teachers from the fourth, fifth and sixth districts were also asked to contribute P300 as well as elementary teachers from the fourth, fifth and sixth congressional districts which all fall under the Pangasinan II schools division based in Binalonan.
Observers said the amounts collected could be staggering if all teachers contributed P300 each.
